Swellnet Sessions: Off The Cutting Room Floor - images by Adam Weathered

With the advent of digital cameras this Session should really be called 'Forgotten On The Memory Card' but that name doesn't have quite the same zing.
02-07-09:
Swellnet Sessions: QLD Junior Surfing Titles - images by Darren Simondson

The winners of the series will join an impressive list of champions including 2007 world champion Mick Fanning and current World No.1 Joel Parkinson.

Swellnet Sessions: Blown Glass - images by Scott Butcher

The photo is taken during a late afternoon glass-off at Shark Island, the water surface not the only thing taking on the properties of glass.
29-06-09:
Swellnet Sessions: Arse About - images by Simon Muirhead

For the last week the swell on the East Coast has been off-kilter, back to front and arse about.
29-06-09:
Swellnet Surfpolitik: Great White Serial Killer

I bet the newspapers are upset they weren't armed with this story when shark hysteria overtook Australia last summer.
22-06-09:
Swellnet Surfpolitik: Shapers Coming Up Short

"To all you who reckon surfboards are expensive or a rip-off - you can get f*cked!"
17-06-09:
Swellnet Surfpolitik: Join The Revolution!

But I'm gonna take a stand against this formalised 'celebration'. I'm dissenting from International Surf Day.
12-06-09:
Swellnet Surfpolitik: One Guise Fits All

Surfing is used to sell everything from bog paper to Beemers. So why does it still carry mystique to the average punter?
29-06-09:
Swellnet Sessions: Noah and the Ibis - images by Adam Weathered

I was gonna lead into this Session with the little known biblical tale of Noah and the Ibis.
26-06-09:
Swellnet Sessions: Behind The Scenes - images by Mark Onorati

Being a surf film maker sounds like a lark. You get to spend your days on various beaches while the rest of the world slaves away in offices.
26-06-09:
Swellnet Sessions: In Tune - Terepai Richmond - images by Steve Jones

Here he is on Tuesday evening doing just that - finding a groove on a day that wasn't even an Island day.
25-06-09:
Swellnet Sessions: Five Star D'bah (Part 2) - images by Adam Weathered

So what we've got is a swag of the Goldy's finest taking apart D'bah on one of the better days in recent months.

Swellnet Dispatch - A New Direction - words and pics by Max Reddy

Max is a Year 11 student at Cornerstone College in Adelaide and mainly surfs Victor and Yorkes. He is doing work experience at Swellnet this week.
24-06-09:
Swellnet Dispatch - 'Last Hope' Tour Dates

A collection of sixteen short films by Andrew Kidman.
19-06-09:
Swellnet Depth Test - Last Hope review by Stuart Nettle

And that's why Last Hope works so well as a concept. To call it a film would be a misnomer, because it is actually sixteen short films.

Hit n' run from the SE for SE Qld ...
(updated Mon 29th Jun 5pm by Steve Shearer)
But by the late afternoon we should see leading edge of our SE swell start to fill in, mostly concentrated on the Mid North and North Coast.

Solid pulse from the east for Sydney ...
(updated Mon 29th Jun 12:40pm by Craig Brokensha)
It looks as if we will see the swell build strongly just before dark tomorrow, peaking overnight before easing off just as rapidly into Wednesday.

Back into the swing for Victoria ...
(updated Mon 29th Jun 12:40pm by Alex Zadnik)
The low should produce a larger boost in short-range W'ly swell from Wednesday night into Thursday morning, but once again the swell direction will limit wave heights along the Surf Coast.
